MCC BC is pleased to announce the appointment of a new executive director, Laura Loewen. Loewen will be replacing Ed Janzen who is retiring at the end of May.

Loewen has worked at MCC Africa, MCC Canada, and with Menno Travel Service. For the past 12 years she has been the pastor of the Mennonite Fellowship of Montreal. She grew up in Abbotsford attending Mennonite Educational Institute and worshipping at the West Abbotsford Mennonite Church. She has a BA from Simon Fraser University and received her M. Div. from Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminaries in Indiana. She will begin her new role August 1, 2000.

Her MCC and related experiences, her reconciling nature and her consistent, positive and organizational qualities will serve her well in this new role according to Mark Charlton, MCC Board member who chaired the search committee. We welcome Laura back to BC.
