MCC BC Auxiliary
The MCC BC Auxiliary is the MCC BC Thrift, Furniture and Appliance Stores Board.
The committees of the MCC BC thrift stores are part of this auxiliary board.
We meet about seven or eight times a year in Clearbrook at the MCC BC offices on Marshall Road.
Here we share our concerns, joys, information etc. We have an annual meeting each year at the
same time that the MCC BC Board has its annual meeting on the first weekend in November.
The annual auxiliary meeting is not only for the auxiliary members, but for all, young and older,
male or female, who are interested in the work of MCC and wanting to help others in need.
The Auxiliary program is to raise funds for MCC BC. The thrift, furniture and appliance stores
are vehicles by which our Christian volunteers can help the poor, at home and abroad,
"in the name of Christ." There are currently 47 stores in five provinces in Canada and 42
stores in 18 states in the U.S. More stores are continuing to open in both countries.
MCC stores’ contributions average 17% of the total contributions to MCC.
